What is the average penis size in India?

About 13.01 cm erect, and the claim on the map matches that to two decimal places. Promodu 2007 measured 301 Indian men in a clinical setting, of whom 93 were measured erect. It is a real study, honestly reported, and those 93 erect measurements are being asked to describe a country of roughly 500 million adult men.

The two land within 0.01 cm of each other, and both are erect measurements. That is as close to correct as this table gets.

What was actually measured in India?

Promodu is a good study of a normal-sized clinical sample. Men were measured by clinicians, flaccid and stretched, with an erect subgroup, and the paper says which is which. Nothing about it is misleading. The problem is entirely on the other end: a figure derived from fewer than a hundred erect measurements is being printed as the national average for the largest male population on earth.

Put the ratio into words. India has more adult men than Africa, North America and Oceania combined, and behind its number sit 93 erections measured in one clinical series. Germany's figure rests on 143 men for 34 million. The United Kingdom's rests on 609 for 26 million. Nobody publishing these maps has ever printed that column, because the column is the argument against the map.

The Indian figure is also one of the few in this register that lands close to the pooled clinical world mean of 13.12 cm rather than well above it. That is what a number tends to look like when someone measured it instead of collecting it.

How does that compare with the rest of the world?

The claim puts India 102nd of 119 countries on the ranked list. Here is that number set against the figures that come with a method attached.

That last interval is 3.11 cm wide, for a whole continent, from the largest meta-analysis there is. The claimed map it sits under spreads all 119 countries across 7.9 cm and prints every country to one decimal place. Read those two sentences together and you have the entire problem with penis size by country.

How many men does the claim cover?

301 measured → 500,000,000 described

301 men in India appear in the studies this register could locate. The claimed figure is applied to roughly 500,000,000 adult men: one measured man for every 1,661,130.

Where would you land in India?

Against the claimed figure, because that is the number people mean when they ask. It is the weaker of the two numbers above, and the calculator says so. Everything is computed in your browser and nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.

What should you take from this?

India is the clearest illustration of the sample-size problem in this whole register: an honest study, correctly reported, stretched across a population it was never designed to describe. The figure is not wrong. The confidence placed in it is.

If you are here to place yourself, the pooled clinical figure of 13.12 cm from 15,521 men is a stronger reference than any national number, India's included. The method page shows the working.
